The above three posts are my best effort translating. That PC guy talks insanely fast. ;)
So I wasn't the only one that thought that too.... clean Nihongo, but fast Nihongo.
I think they're pretty dang funny, even if it is a direct translation.

It's a great deal; can I hire someone to convince my wife I need an iPad? Nothing I can say will convince her otherwise ;)

Hmm... Plastic parts from China. He probably pays $5 max for each kit. Very good profit I would say.
Also if the kid was smart he should have incorporated or created an LLC and than imported and sold all the merchandise under that company. If he did that than his legal liability is pretty limited. They could sue his company for what it was worth. Probably not much. The could fine his company, which he could just shut down and pay none of the fines. He could get away with it with barely paying anything. How do you think all these companies that import Kirf products work?
Thanks for the info. I will keep that in mind. Just in case I want to start a company that imports KIRF.

edit:
to be on topic:
If you're set on a mac-usin'-momma, is there a Mac User group you could meet some Mac-using ladies at? We're a fun bunch (if I may say so myself.)
Other than that, I dunno.. go to starbucks or something to meet people? A singles mixer? *shrug*
I wasn't just looking for advice on dating in general (although I'll take it, don't get me wrong :) ), I was looking for advice on this particular girl. I have dated all pc users in the past, but at the time I was a pc user as well, so I cannot comment as to the heart and intellect of Mac using women vs. their pc counterparts. I often study, as often as I study :p, at Borders (similar to Barnes and Noble if you don't have them) and that usually does well for finding one or two Mac using 'momma's', however usually they are cramming for something, not exactly my setting for walking up and asking them to chat.
I realize there are a plethora of women around, especially where I am from they are quite kind to the eyes and their father's wallets seem rather bulged, however....well nevermind, I really have no valid excuses. I am just single until I amass enough funds to purchase many hot women, since that always seems to work

oh, great. Just the thing aliens will use to find out where I am and abduct me again. Yeah, sure I had to opt in, but do you know how hard it is to say no to location features?! I mean seriously, don't they realize all the bad ways people, er 'others', can use technology like this.

There's a minor outfit called something odd. Kodak, or something like that.
And fill in the blanks:
Shake it Shake it
Sh-Shake it Shake it
Shake it like a _________ picture
EDIT: Actually, Polaroid has almost no presence in the Digital realm (though they do have a couple of crappy models). Hewlett Packard has a significant presence in the Digital Camera market, though...

Hope this is a fake, as I absolutely loathe capacitive buttons on phones.
I agree! My Samsung Galaxy S had capacitive buttons and you could never know if the phone had registered or not.

Great thread for all of us green thumbs out there! Of all the specialized forums I have belonged to, none of the folks are as helpful as the photographers. IMHO
For me, photography is a passion for the moment. Maybe one captures a piece of time whether it is for a second or a century. Sometimes I know what I want to capture, but other times I just take pictures in the spur of the moment. An example: lets say you are walking with or without you significant other and it is during the winter. You approach a house with a snowman in the front yard and you think, wow that snowman is cool and it brings back memories, so I had better take a photo to recapture an image from the past. Although, one can look to the future too! This is the beauty of photography! There are no rules, limits, or boundaries, hence zero gravity! :)

I guess one could argue that scalpers are inflating at&t's numbers.
I chose AT&T for my second gen ipad because I've had every iPhone and iPad on day one and AT&T has treated me good with no issues.
That being said my vzw work droid is defiantly slower but has better coverage.

I hope they introduce that option. Then it would be up to the customer to pick integrated or dedicated graphics, depending on his[her] needs.True, different people have different needs. Some should expect more out of a modern machine then integrated crapo graphics. My guess is 1st qtr next year we will see new Macbooks and they will have more integrated graphics since they kept the x1600 in the pro books. GMA3000 will show in it. Not to say I told anybody so but I predicted the Probooks would get the new core2s and the macbooks wouldnt. This gives Apple some seperation between the two lines. Apple could go cheap meaning speed bump CoreDuo's not Core2Duos and the integrated graphics that the fan club seems to love. Why not? As long as you have the cheap graphics whats the point of throwing in Core2? None that I can see.

I had opted in on Blizzard's website, but I haven't seen anything about downloading it. I really just want to know if my MBP is going to be capable of playing it. Anyone have an original Core 2 Duo MBP with the 128MB Radeon X1600 thats tried it out?

Ok, but when a road changes and you don't have the newest map then what are you doing? Manually downloading is what.
I'd rather it be an automatic process.
Both methods have drawbacks: "Not always available" vs. "Not always current."
Given that I've never had a problem with availability, I'm actually interested in an app that promises to stay current without my having to download maps manually ahead of time.
Every situation is different, granted, but a re-route due to road change is so much less likely to occur than a traffic congestion re-route or other spur of the moment situation. If you're not in a 3G area, forget it. I'll take my chances with an "outdated" map than I will with not being able to quickly access any map at all every time.

Interesting concept, but their website (http://www.eneco.com/) scares me away in a hurry. What was that about making a good first impression?
What is wrong with it? The only thing I see is that they are presenting the Peltier Effect as if it was something they discovered and not already in common use. These chips have been produced on an industrial scale for many years. They don't say this.
Here is another company who has a real product to for sale http://www.melcor.com/ Here is one more - http://www.customthermoelectric.com/ It's a mature technology These guys at eneco seem to be selling a concept and have no product.
But who are they trying to fool? Anyone in a position to buy from eneco would have engineers on staff who certainly would already understand thermoelectrics

the iPad will be for normal people when you don't have the sync it.
all this syncing ********* needs to stop.
I shouldn't need another computer to use my iPad.
Makes no sense at all.
This is the primary design flaw with the iPad. This tablet can't be the normal person's computer unless every normal person has a tech friend/relative to keep the tablet working/updated. So while Woz is correct that the tablet will be the normal person's computer, Apple's iPad is not yet that tablet.
