Pls. find the answers in red ink below. Also, all the answers are based on personal experience.
on Decebmer 7 USCICS website (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/#) shows "Your extension has been denied, and a denial notice has been sent."
My I-94 expired on Oct-10 2009 and H1B was valid till 30 Sep. 2009. Here are my questions:
Am I an illegal resident now?
Nope, you are not an illegal as their reply on your application will show the date as 7th December, which is not your fault.
Until when can I stay in the us?
The denial letter will mention the deadline for you to leave this country. Usually it is 30 days.
Should my employer appeal the case and by when should he do that, is there premium (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/#) processing for this?
Yes. He should send the appeal within the time frame of 30 days. No there is no premium processing.
How long does the appeal process take ?
It can take anywhere from a month to a year for INS to answer the appeal. Basically appeal is done only to buy the time. Mostly its never a positive response.
Can I work while the case is appealed?
No. You cannot unless you have a back - up of EAD.

There is no way you can transfer you H1-B as you old one has already expired. The only way left is applying for a new H1-b, according to my lawyer, the sooner the better. The new H1-b mostly will be a consulate case. Meaning, even though you are approved, it will be only activated once you go for visa stamping.

An event in DC would be convinient for members who live or work in and around the DC area, and also because the concentration of working people in the city and vicinity is higher. People who work in the area can stop by after work and network over dinner.

Yes.. I did my medicals done as soon I landed there. Got all the appoinments for the medicals before I started from here and the first thing I did was medicals.
Regarding the marriage certificate, I gave the marriage registration copy given by registrar. If the marriage certificate is in native langauage, they will not accept and they probably will need a translation affidavit. Please check the local Consulate for the exact format.

They only want more new H1-B's, coz they have to pay more for those who are already here.
Politicians are interested in illegal immigrants because their number runs into millions and they can get their votes.
Remaining skilled labor force with his H1 term ending are of no use to anyone.
I think this forum is doing a tremendous job in fighting for a cause and will no doubt make a mark fo itself.

Based on the information, it seems like the consulate is not convinced about the employment or the client letter was not sufficient to prove the employment. You might have to seek help from lawyer sheela murthy to find out what the US consular is looking for in a client letter.
I wouldn't suggest a visitor visa as it might signal other intentions. They probably are aware that you can apply change of status(I-539) from B2 to H4. Consult lawyer murthy and try the H4 once again.

If your new I-797 came with a new I-94 attached at the bottom, you should be fine. Usually, if you renew H1-B past the expiration date, you are classified under "Consular Approval" and therefore must get H1B stamped into your passport the next time you leave and want to enter the US.

My experience with driver's license renewal in Ohio with EAD/expired-H1 was a pleasant surprise.
All I said was that I was a green card applicant, showed them my I-485 application receipt, and got a license valid for 4 years.
Smooth. What a surprise.
Hey - can you please tell me where you applied for the 4 yr DL. I have always got my DL extended only till I-94 expiry or of late - till my EAD expiry. I renew my DL in Columbus. Can you please share your experience as to where you got your DL renewed?

This is the case for most people, for instance, my current salary is at least 10K higher than my LC wage.
Bottom line is, you need to have a job in the "same or similar occupational classification" as the position which was the subject of the labor certification application. Salary does not matter, as long as it does not seem to evidence a totally different type of position.
My job is in the same company, same classification etc. I am not worried about that. The problem (I guess the GC mess can make you twist the best things into problems) is the $40K+ in raises I have received since then...

I've been using Painter Classic/7 on and off. The interface is a little hard to get around, since it bears little resemblance to other graphic software. However, I discovered it is more oriented towards traditional art.
And I agree with Ed - not much use for it if you don't have a tablet... unless you're really good with a mouse.

Job description, salary does not matter in porting PD. Is there any possible reason CIS may not port the PD though old I-140 is not revoked by employer.

Urgent advise is required.
My PERM was approved in April-07 and now I have just filed the concurrent 140/485. Now the company is transferring me to a new location (State) early next month with a possible change in the salary than what�s mentioned on my PERM. Can anyone please advise if there will be some impact on my 140/485 applications if:
a) I moved to a different state and, (My work location on PERM is California)
b) If I will be getting less salary than what�s mentioned on my PERM

If any member has ITIN, economic stimulus package benefit will not be given.
You can definitely give it a try because when we went to apply SSN for my wife, they didn't ask for EAD even though we were carrying it. They might be able to give based on AOS, but I am not sure. You can give it a try since you have nothing to lose.
